My name is Abby. I was born & raised in the Virginia Appalachian Mountains, and I am currently working as the Assistant Designer for a mid-luxury children’s brand located in the heart of New York City. Last Spring, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech, and shortly after I began my career in fashion! Throughout my journey in college, I discovered my passion for apparel through the lens of industrial design – I am excited by the idea of prioritizing user experience and function equally with aesthetics and trends. I used my senior thesis to propose an adaptive childrenswear brand for neurodiverse populations, and I hope that one day I can return to this passion and help push for fashion inclusivity for all abilities. Some of my favorite hobbies outside the studio include illustration, word puzzles, and traveling anywhere and everywhere!
